Carla Bruni

Carla Bruni (born 23 December, 1968 in Turin, Italy), is a model and musician.

Since the age of five she grew up in France and later attended a boarding school in Switzerland. She became famous worked as a model and then became a tabloid staple by dating famous rock stars like Mick Jagger. In 1998 Bruni left the world of fashion.

Bruni since devoted herself to chanson and in the year 2002 her debut album "Quelqu'un M'a Dit" was released, making her famous in Europe. Most listeners agree: Bruni is certainly not the best trained scale-crackling singer around the globe but she is well known and loved for her breathy and at times acrobatic voice, which fits just perfectly into the chanson genre.
